He is a medical doctor with over 25 years of clinical experience, specialising initially in emergency medicine and then family practice, before focusing his creative energy on the practice of Medicina Estetica for the last 12 years. He is a medical educator and RACGP-accredited activity provider of nearly 20 years standing, and is a national medical trainer in communication skills and the principles of adult learning.
His aesthetic expertise is in employing a holistic approach to non-surgical facial rejuvenation including the use of lasers and other technologies. He specialises in the safe and effective use of cosmetic medicines and treatments using a whole of face treatment strategy to optimise your natural appearance. He is a regular and popular speaker to lay people at charity functions and professionally to his peers, as well as the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC) at their annual conference.
Dr Barbagallo always educates his patients and trainees to be modest in our aesthetic ambition and desire, and to always promote the safe attainment of a natural and normal appearance at every stage of treatment, as we can always increase the doses used. Dr Barbagallo believes that 'a little, often' and 'less is more' is the optimal practice of Medicina Estetica.
